PARISH NEWS Adult Education Classes - will be held next Sunday, December 11th after the 8:30am Mass in the Parish Center, Rooms 2-4. Donuts will be served!!!! "Eucharist: Jesus With Us" - The December issue "Presence of the Risen Lord" is in the vestibule. Pick up a copy today. St. Theresa 2006 Calendars - calendars are in the vestibule. Please pick up your copy! Advent Candle Lighters - will be performed by members of the Knights of Columbus and their families. On this the Second Sunday of Advent it will be: 5pm Mass - Bill Durbin & Family; 8:30am - Terry Henson & Family; and 11am - Ray Lambert & Family. This year we will have a program for the children of our Parish. However, it will not be the typical Christmas play with the children acting as Joseph, Mary, Shepherds, Wise men or angels. Instead, I need adults, young adults and teens to play these parts so the atmosphere is more realistic. The age limit for children is those who can walk or crawl through the 6th grade. The children will bring their own gifts to offer to the Christ child as though they were at the stable when he was born. Their gifts can be money for a specified cause, a poem they have written, a thank you note they have written a short liturgical dance, a song praising him, a drawing they have done, or some other art work they have created, playing an instrument or whatever gift they can think of that they would like to give to the baby in the manager. It would be great if every child attending the Mass at 5pm would participate. If your child is young and you feel you should come up with them that will work too. Church appropriate clothing is the only dress code. If your child wants to wear a costume because it goes with their talent/gift that is fine just so it is appropriate for Mass. I will place a form in the vestibule of the church for you to sign up for parts, or gifts, and a detailed schedule of rehearsals, etc. Teresa Mazurek Feast of the Immaculate Conception - is a Holy Day of Obligation. The vigil Mass will be on Wednesday at 6pm. The Mass on Thursday will be at 8am.
